It’d been a long time since he left the place he called “home.”
Davis wasn’t much for travelling across dimensions, and this was just a reminder of why. With silent but heavy paws, he trudged through an unfamiliar landscape, following the only instinct he knew he could trust in a world he didn’t recognize: the instinct to find his own. He could sense other tigers, being their deity, and if there were multiple in one place, it was probably safe. So was his logic, anyways.
Coming upon the crest of a small hill among the forest he’d found refuge in, Davis decided to scout further ahead. Unsheathing his claws next to a suitably thick tree, he hauled himself up the rough bark, getting high enough that he could peer through the foliage. Keen senses allowed him to discern that there was a familiar yet horribly unfamiliar scent coming at him from downwind; a scent that reminded him of dried blood, but not quite. His snout crinkled in distaste. He couldn’t imagine what his subjects were doing in such a foul-smelling place, but he didn’t ponder it, climbing back down to the forest floor to continue on his exploratory journey.
It was when Davis broke through the trees and came to the edge of a massive clearing that he had to stop, rearing his head to its full height as he gazed upon what could only be called a mega of mega mansions.
And here he thought Dave’s house was huge.
A snort of curiosity left him as he quickly made up his mind, traveling at a brisk yet cautious pace as he approached the castle-like structure.
Hopefully that curiosity wouldn’t end up killing him. ...not that he could die anyway.
