Friday and Saturday's progress

Pretty self-explanatory.

Those layers being (from top to bottom in the first pic and left to right in the second): fashion fabric (canvas), heavy-duty sew-in interfacing, coutil, and cotton twill.

Then I had to sort them so that I could sew the layers together before sewing the pieces together. Once they were put in order, however, I ran out of energy for the night.

That's right, an actual daylight shot for once. Much, much later, I would realize that I should not have basted the lining layer on—duh and d'oh! So I'll have to rip all those seams and resew all the flat pieces. I'm still undecided what to do about the pieces with eyelets and busk; not only is that a lot of work to redo, but some of the fabric will have to be replaced and I do not have extra.

Despite the mistakes, I think the busk and eyelets look rather handsome. I have not done the other side with eyelets yet because of the above dilemma.

And finally, more sorting before retiring for the day (and probably the weekend).
Sorry there aren't really any "action shots," but since I'm taking my own photos it's difficult to sew and shoot at the same time.
