Tom was new to the school, looking around nervously. He didn't know what to expect and he didn't know anyone there, so it just made everything ten times worse. He knew it was a school for mutants, but that didn't mean he felt at home. He still hid his mutation, still not entirely sure how he got them, it was all fuzzy to him, he still felt out of place as he looked for the main office or something.

This was suppose to be a happy marriage.
When Grayson had proposed to the love of his life, he pictured happiness in the future, not anger. But of course, of course he would mess everything up.
Cort knew that Grayson had a short temper, but Grayson was pretty sure that he hadn't expected hi to be this mean to him, this cruel. Deep down inside, Grayson felt terrible for doing these things to Cort, for hurting him so badly.
First it had started with harsh words and yelling when Cort messed up or did something wrong. Grayson hardly ever praised Cort for being an adorable little klutz, he yelled. And then he started hitting the boy. One day it just happened, a sharp smack across the face when Cort had spilled his wine glass over the mug on their first year anniversary.
Now the two had been married for a year and a half, and the hitting got worse, and a lot more frequent.
Grayson just couldn't control himself anymore.
"Cort!" He barked, sitting on the couch. His legs were up on the small coffee table in front of him, and there was a beer in his hand. "Get in here." He murmured, his gaze still on the TV.
