“I will finally say that I am not okay.”

Cameron was happy to hear those words from her, this was an important step that wold hopefully lead to her eventually being okay. “That’s good, honestly I don’t think any of us are okay,” he certainly wasn’t. “Those that say they are either don’t want admit it or have normalized it to the point where they can’t recognize it.”

“And who were you obsessing over?” There were a lot of options to pick from in recent events, especially if she meant in a less romantic way as she could be describing her feelings on any member of the Cohort. Still it was probably a valid lesson either way.

“For what it is worth Los Angeles can be just as kind as it is cruel,” it was a city of dreams and there were plenty who made it but there were also plenty that were chewed up and spat back out. Perhaps more wound up spat out but that didn't diminish the fact that people could still make it.

“I think it just happens sometimes,” he had loved Emma for years and at the end of the day he didn’t regret any of it even if it all ultimately ended in tragedy. She was one of his best friends and their failed romance was part of that. “It’s part of being a teenager.”
