long time no talk! i’m slowly trying to get back into writing because i really haven’t sat down and done much since moving two months ago. i fully plan to get my multi and felix up and running once again in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, i’ll be doing most of my writing on nick ( @satanbound ) because i feel like a single muse i’m comfortable with is the best way to ease into things. feel free to give me a follow over there if you aren’t already and to those of you waiting on replies from fe or any of my muses on here, i promise i haven’t forgotten about you! thank you so much for your continuous patience and i hope to be here asap.

ok so i rly miss fefe but honestly i’m feeling a bit disorganized on this blog having been away for so long. that said, i think i’m going to drop the majority of my owed drafts with a few exceptions! anything that comes in after this point will be determined on a case-by-case basis, so if you happen to owe me anything atm, you’re welcome to drop the thread if you so desire! in other news, i’ve decided that since starter calls rly never work for me and ask memes have a tendency to sit in my inbox growing mold, i’ll be using sent memes to write closed starters from now on! they won’t all but turned into threads, but most if not all of the starters i write will be pulled from them!

such a suspicious gaze directed her way … well , whatever . certainly not something that was new to her . in addition , it wasn’t as though she was speaking to him out of innocence ; she was curious about him . a novel occurance , really . so she simply smiled , fingers cradling her own glass . ‘ really ? i’ve found that being alone with your thoughts is typically more detrimental than helpful . ’
𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐈𝐀 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋. he can’t help the stir of unease in his abdomen as he attempts to read between the lines, going over each word with a fine tooth comb until all he’s got left are suspicions. anxieties temporarily quelled by the fresh glass in his hand, he’ll drink deeply and allow himself a moment to plot an escape route. ❛ it depends on the day. ❜ a diplomatic response as any, vague hazels shifting to meet hers once again. a pretty face and too many questions — it was a cocktail that had burned him famously. ❛ shot in the dark, but you don’t strike me as someone familiar with loneliness. ❜

MIKAELSON, HOPE.
𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄'𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐄𝐋. she hasn’t been cruel to felix, she hasn’t been cruel to anyone. but the loss of both her parents broke her, and she was taking it out on anyone who got in range. she wanted to be left alone. she wanted to focus on herself to heal and get better, and it wasn’t going well. ❝ fine, i’ll stick to felix. ❞ she wipes at her mouth before closing the gap between him, no longer talking at him from across the room. ❝ maybe this, ❞ she gestures around the room, ❝ is the price for my parents. a broken girl left behind with no family… ❞ her voice cracked slightly and she turned away from him, not wanting him to see her break. she has her aunts and uncles, but that’s different. they have their own lives. her parents were the only ones who were always there for her, and she’s lost without them.
𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐆𝐎, the cloth tumbles to the floor in a pool of crimson as she begins to fall apart. be it out of obligation to the departed or something more ( something he wasn’t quite ready to admit ), he finds himself softening at the rare glimpse of vulnerability. even if nothing more than a convincing chapter of her facade, he has to believe there’s some truth to her confession. ❛ you’re not broken, hope. ❜ fervor transforms icy features, each word accompanied by a loud thump in his ribcage. hazels dimming earnestly as he reaches for her chin with ichor-smeared fingers, he coerces her to meet his stare before persisting. ❛ a little bent, sure, but who isn’t? point is, your parents wanted better for you than this — and deep down, you know i’m right. take it from someone who’s stood on that ledge ten times over: you’ve got so much left to fight for. don’t throw it all away. ❜
ASHMORE, RAINA.
it feels like a slap in the face , coming to reality with him telling her he is leaving . maybe that would have been better , because the stingy feeling of a hand print would eventually go away . she’d heal from that easily . not so sure this feeling would go away any time soon . she wouldn’t have thought much of him leaving town earlier . but it’s different now and he’s not just leaving town , he’s leaving her behind too and she think it feels like her heart shatter in her chest . already lost so much to hunters and now they’re indirectly taking him away too . teeth bites at trembling lower lip and head turns before chin comes to rest upon his shoulders so he won’t be able to see her face . maybe it’s a good thing ? she is already too attatched . and it’s what she is supposed to say . ❛ i could come with you . . . ❜
𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐎 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐍, it nearly knocks the wind right out of him. i could go with you. as if she’s offering to accompany him to the goddamn supermarket. though her gaze is no longer fixed on his, lids fall shut all the same, masking an expression of blind shock. he’s exhausted, too exhausted for this conversation. why was it that the most important ones always took place at the worst of times? ❛ you don’t mean that. ❜ but she does, because she’s raina, and raina rarely says things she doesn’t mean. it’s one of the things he’ll miss most about her. in a gesture that’s both a million reasons to go and one giant one to stay, he weaves his trembling fingers into her fine, blonde strands. ❛ you have a life here. a pack. how could i possibly in good conscience ask you to leave that behind? ❜ hazels pop back open, steeling with decisiveness as his free hand grips her knee. ❛ no. it has to be me. ❜
O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?
𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐂 𝐀𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑. he never wanted to be a blood obsessed monster, and now it’s all he can think about. every time alec sees a person, all he can focus on is the pulsing veins in their neck and wrists. all he can focus on is how quickly he can sink his teeth in and drink. alec’s thirsty all the time now, a thirst that can’t be satisfied by anything else. he hates it, but he’s stuck. the spiral isn’t going to break on its own, and he can’t quite gather the strength to break it. ❝ i’m not… ❞ the protest is weak, because he’s only protesting because he thinks he has to. felix knows him better than anyone. sometimes felix knows him better than he knows himself, and that’s scary to the dhampir. ❝ i don’t want bags. ❞ he mutters stubbornly, the glow of his eyes just affirming his statement ( he’s addicted, they both know it ), ❝ god its just…. so good, felix. and i know how that sounds. but i need it. i’ve erased more than i’ve killed. ❞ he’s making excuses at this point, but he feels like he has to fight, even with his brother’s hand on his shoulder… he feels like he has to fight.
𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍, a defeated sigh builds as he turns a deaf ear to the buffet of justifications spread out before him. so easy to make excuses when you yearned to stay in the dark, and even his seemingly perfect twin couldn’t resist shutting the lights out every now and then. once again, he’s forced to remind himself that this isn’t the real alec, but the fractured version sent by the ripper to clean up his messes — and even monsters could be reasoned with. ❛ you think i don’t know how easy it is to wind up where you are? to feel that craving in every atom and to know the fastest way to make it go away is give in? ❜ it’s different for him, their playing fields nowhere near level thanks to that damned gene, but he’s certainly no stranger to the curse of need — because while alec’s demons were cut and dry, his were alive and well on the emotional end of the spectrum. hazels flashing with a rare glint of can-do spirit, he now has a hand on each shoulder, the picture of ferocious determination. ❛ but we can fight this, alec. we can beat the odds. you just have to be willing to try. tell me you’ll try, and i swear on our father’s grave — i’ll get us through. ❜
LIGHTWOOD, ISABELLE.
𝐒𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐌𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐀 𝐏𝐄𝐍, though there is nothing quite as sharp as the words that escape his lips. they have been here before. the insults, the arguing, the crossing of lines. yet there is one line they never dare come close to / and isabelle is getting sick of it. round and round they go, leaving her both disoriented and at the same place they started at. though she supposes feelings do that to anyone. feelings. the mere word makes her feel inadequate. lightwoods do not develop crushes or let feelings cloud their judgement / especially not in the midst of a bar about to cause a scene. then again, isabelle was never one to follow the rules. 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂 𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐒 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐉𝐀𝐖, but pierced nerves spare no moment for regret — not where they’re concerned. just how many nights had played out like this, one of them slinking out the door on the arm of a stranger while the other sulks home in drunken shambles? they were creatures of spite, driven by this rapid need to have the last word. well, no more. one second his drink is sitting before him and the next it’s drained completely as he leaps to his feet, determined not to let her slip away. ❛ izzy, wait. ❜ pulse pounding in his ears as the reality of what he’s about to do sets in, he secures a tight grip on her arm — hazels gone murky in a stupor that wasn’t entirely alcoholic’s doing. too late to turn back now ( or maybe he doesn’t just want to, fed up with playing this game ) as he draws close, the closest they’ve ever been. a trembling hand moves to orbit her waist while the other clamps white-knuckled on the bar, the words don’t and go playing on a loop between his ears. his next move will change everything for them, for this tumbling skyscraper resembling a friendship — because, finally, his lips are on hers, his desperate kiss an answer to every question he never dared to ask.
CARSTAIRS, EMMA.
❝ myself. julian. the kids. it was the best option for everyone involved. ❞ she could still feel the sting in her parabatai rune when she’d stepped on the plane. she’d felt like she was being ripped away from the only family she had left, despite knowing it had been her choice to leave. ❝ i’m aware that i’m unlikable. it’s not my fault people don’t like a strong woman. i can handle it. ❞
