"Please forgive me," Fannar answers, holding his hands up apologetically. He's still smiling, although now redness has spread across the bridge of his nose and up to his ears. "I apologise. It's just, ah — you reminded me so much of myself, there. When these came out — I mean, these ones that we have in our homes, these electric ones — I was so suspicious of them, for way too long. I just didn't understand how they could be, like, a thing."
He gently pats the top of his trusty old Brother machine, smiling sheepishly to Ryouji. Oh, he hopes he hasn't made a sour first impression. He can feel himself blushing. "In Iceland, sewing and clothes-making was a traditionally masculine activity. I think that's a bit unusual in the rest of the world, but... I've been sewing for a long, long time. Um, but, with this machine — making something to wear like a shirt or anything would only take me an afternoon, at most! It's really fast now. I spend more time on historical pieces, um, I make those for museums. But... most things, it doesn't take long."
