Hi! The name's Val - any pronouns are fine; they/them is always a safe bet. I write stories every now and then, which I post over on my Neocities site. This blog is for more ad-hoc interactions with the characters and worlds. Always feel free to ask anything about them, I'll almost certainly answer in-character!
I've recently reworked my whole site from the ground-up, so I figured it would be a good time to plug my works a bit for those who haven't seen my website before. There's still more to come, too!

THE VAPOREON CYCLE, BOOK ONE: FROST SPIRALS
"An amnesiac Vaporeon wakes up at the end of an unfamiliar dungeon. As the stress begins to unravel her, a dangerous conspiracy unravels around her."
The first story I ever published! With @foxgirltrauma playing the part of Vaporeon, this is still my favorite story I've ever written.
Because Vaporeon isn't technically my character, I do avoid answering asks in-character as her. You can still ask them, but it'll probably be another character who gives you the response!
THE VAPOREON CYCLE, BOOK TWO: NOW AND FOREVER
"With the worst now behind her, Vaporeon finds herself at a crossroads with every decision. As she tries to build a life for herself, she realizes it's not just her own destiny she'll have to write."
The sequel to Frost Spirals! This was originally written as a series of epilogues, with @foxgirltrauma reprising its role as Vaporeon.
Every character in this book is fair game for asks. Some of the characters in this story have a ton of backstory already, and some have almost none... yet!
THE AGE WITHOUT SUN: ZORUADVENTURE
"An amnesiac Zorua wakes up at the end of the world, staring into the eyes of the Arceus he's just killed."
A standalone book by @foxgirltrauma! This time the roles are reversed: it wrote and directed the story, while I played the part of Zorua.
If you've enjoyed interacting or hearing about Zora - this is where he comes from! It's not his whole story, however, not by half. Perhaps there will be more available to read, someday...
A prologue to the story is up on foxgirltrauma's Neocities page! The reading order here is a matter of preference; each story is going to spoil something about the other. Reading ZoruAdventure first gives Zora's perspective on the events, while reading Death of a Hero first gives the survivors' perspective.
Any questions about this story (that Zora wouldn't have much to say on) will be answered out of character, if at all. I don't own any of those characters, so I'd rather not put words in their mouths. In terms of the blog's framing device, the "ask portals" can only show up for Zora when it comes to Aldor.

[⚡️ Does this OC have any unusual or "irrational" fears? ]
Above all else, I would describe Vaporeon as "haunted." There's tragedies from before her time that shape her just as much as those inflicted on her, and those she's inflicted on others. The ghosts of the past never truly leave her alone.
Her primary fear is fire, at least when she's young - later in life, ice begins to overtake this. Any sudden change in temperature will stress her out significantly, unless it's from a Fire or Ice-type Pokemon she trusts very deeply. Even then, expect those elements to put her on edge.
It's hard to say if she has any truly irrational fears! Everything she's deeply afraid of could be seen as overblown from a statistical perspective, but it all is actually dangerous.
