1963 Chevrolet Corvette Is an Instant Classic
When the ’63 Corvette was introduced, it was available in either a Convertible or a Coupe. And what made it unique was its “Split” rear window. Well, it’s not the most practical solution, but hey, the design is amazing. The 2nd generation Corvette makes impression and that’s why it’s America’s Sports Car.
Today’s muscle car on Muscle Cars World is this awesome 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. It can be found at the famous Corvette Mike. With hideaway headlights and four-wheel independent suspension, it has everything. This Corvette was and is an icon, probably one of the most beautiful sports cars ever built! Good job, GM Design Center, lead by Larry Shinoda! Read more!
This badass example is painted in Daytona Blue with Dark Blue interior and is loaded with the “ultimate” set up for ’63, which is a matching #’s 327/360hp, fuel injected engine with 4-spd manual transmission and knock off wheels! The car runs and drives like a champ and was even featured on the cover of the book “Post War American Classics”!
Corvette Mike says that if you take a poll of Corvette fans and ask them what they consider to be the most significant Corvette, many will say the ’63 Split Window Coupe. This was a revolutionary car on many levels. The S.W.C. (Split Window Coupe) was an instant classic from the moment the general public laid their eyes on it in late ’62.
