Vicious dismount his bike and eyed the forest warily. The locals were going on about some powerful mythical legendary beast of the forest, enough it warrant him to go check it out. he was dressed as a civilian to make sure he didn't draw unwanted attention to himself. Checking his supplies and pokemon, he picked up his small pack and begun his trek into the woods to see if there was any grounds to this rumour. If there was he'd have a new tool. if not at least he got a quiet day in the woods.

The night was proving to be...boring. Usually by now, the vampire could find herself back at the apartment, with a meal to close the night before the sun came back, but her companion beat her to get the best of them and get away with it.

No matter, she hated crowds and loud clubs, anyway.

Retreating herself to one of the many night cafés of the area, the short woman entered a pretty somber and lonely one; pink and brown darting around until she found a spot she liked.

A small table in one of the dark corners of the establishment, for the sake of not being bothered.

With a gloved hand passing by her hair, Neopolitan eyed the menu from top to bottom, but it was just at that moment that a peculiar scent caught her attention. Seemingly to come from a woman that was sitting on another table, the vampire couldn’t help but frown softly before she gazed at the other from the corner of her eyes.

...maybe it was her imagination.

This deep in the wood, one could find any sort of trouble with ease. Bears come to mind, or vicious hounds, or perhaps the unquiet dead. Despite her anxieties, Loreley can’t help but notice the relative quiet... And why are all these strange crows watching her?

Old magic, that’s what it is, the unmistakable stink of old magic. But it’s foreign, unlike any magic found in the old world. And it is hunting Bridgette.

It’s persistent, seemingly undeterred by distance, walls, or even the boundaries of a fairy ring. Taking the form of a hulking bipedal beast, the body comprised of a swirling vortex of sheets of paper vaguely holding the shape. The pieces of paper are moving too quickly to see the words upon them, but every one of them has a picture of a person on it, ranging from sketches to printed photos.

It’s not friendly either, it introduced itself with a clumsy attempt to flatten her, destroying an oak table in the process.
