Kai doesn't know much about the other Houses – he's always been kept on a fairly tight leash. But the Demon of Vyrantium is particularly well known to his family. He isn't liked, however, considering their recent ... alignments.

The mage is glad to be the fuck away from them.

Having a fellow Crow at the Lighthouse though ... an interesting turn of events. Certainly one that Kai is pretty damn sure he doesn't have to worry about stabbing him in the back or dragging him back to Antiva just to throw him at his family's feet. After all, the only things he really knows about Lucanis are that he's a Dellamorte, he's got a demon in his head ( something to consider in more detail later ) , and that he fucking hates the Venatori ; Kai can work with that.

❝ So. ❞ Lucanis is in the kitchen when Kai finds him. He leans over the balustrade to peer down at the other Crow from the balcony entrance. ❝ Back from the dead, are you? That's pretty impressive, even for a Demon. ❞ The title is a test of the waters – Kai is curious what his reaction to the double meaning would be.

Hues of glimmering blue shimmered behind the mage as they occupied a seat at a tavern in Antiva not known to normally host wizards such as themselves, their Spirit of Protection largely unseen. Within Antiva City, there existed an underworld few within polite society saw outside of the shadows, of the dark and enigmatic most pretended didn't exist until it needed to... or the blade of assassin speared between the fourth and second ribs of a hapless mark that would promise a sizeable bounty. That world existed in such a tavern that tended to draw clientele who preferred anonymity, with bounty-givers peacocking like ducks among crows with secrecy needed in their deliberations prevented meetings in broad daylight. Sometimes, the effects were comical: nobility feigning poverty wore sackcloth that was too clean, their perfumed hair ruining the illusion; others masqueraded as Orlesians with bad attempts at the accent most could sus.

Among the oddities, a mage joining them was odder still. Usually, their ilk were the mark, not the one participating in the hunt. Like them, though, the andris was good. Why not pick up a bounty from time to time?

That night, Sypha shared a table with a few such assassins, the one who spoke dressed the finest yet no pickpocket would dare swipe his coin purse. A decanter of red wine glistened in the light of a wax candle spilling streams of hardening wax on its brass plate, a compromise when the weather was too balmy for a hearth fire one might indulge in Redcliffe. Though devoid of a staff most mages boasted, the man who'd spoken could likely sense the tenuous connection to the Veil every mage bore. Let alone from the hooded, maidenly Spirit that hovered above them, unseen eyes trained on Spite.

"I'll admit, joining a dragon in the skies is an unorthodox way of fighting a them, but they don't expect it. Hence why it works."

HE KNITTED HIS BROWS TOGETHER AS A SMILE FORMED ON HIS PALE, FRECKLED FACE. His heterochromia eyes studied the man. The color of the sea, one green, the other blue. There was amusement and mirth within those eyes as he canted his head. 

❝ Ye dinna ken? ❞ he asked and pursed his lips. 

❝ It's a coffee pot, duh. It's an antique, works guid, or so ma mami says. ❞ It had been in the MacTavish family for several centuries. 

❝ Ah thought ye be interested in it. We can brew a quick cup and see if it works. ❞

☂ ━ What’s your favorite kind of weather and why?  

okay so. i have such a weird and varied answer to this ajshshsh

SO i personally really like sunshine, i generally don't enjoy overcast/rainy weather, but also i overheat easily and my autism Does Not Like extreme heat. so like mild weather but still warm and sunny is probably my favourite to just. exist in

however i love the smell of rain, and me and my mom both love thunderstorms and sitting out in the rain sometimes. it's gotta be very specific moods/conditions cause usually i absolutely HATE getting wet. but if it's in that perfect sweet spot i will have an absolutely lovely time getting soaked while watching a thunderstorm
