Do you have a hot water bottle? If not, use an empty used soda or water bottle, fill it with hot water and wrap it with a thick cloth. Place it where it hurts. That works for me.
I had two heating pads and a heated blanket and painkiilers but nothing was working so I just forced myself to soak in hot hot hot water for awhile. Owww.
