Everyone who knows me, knows I'm personally not into competitions so much. I don't typically like the environment they foster or reactions they illicit when people don't win. 👀 BUT I will say it can be a phenomenal opportunity if you turn it into one. At the end, go up to the other women or men on stage. Shake their hand. Tell them what you love about their work and ask what they did to achieve it. That is what these events should be about. Networking and #barberlove because we all go through the same thought process of self doubt on stage.
