Just some self indulged doodles of Luna looking pretty and Strahd being well... himself (a creeper on pretty ladies minding their own damn business).
Image 1: Luna uses a rapier as her main weapon and was just dicking around.
Image 2: Luna is an Air Genasi, making her hair all pretty and floaty, but she also has low perception so... Strahd is able to play with it when she isn’t paying attention.
Day 2 in Barovia, Day 1 in Vallaki [Session 9 -12]
TL;DR Luna had an eventful first day in Vallaki, introducing herself to NPCs, getting rando letters from Lords, chatting with Doug the skeleton, and nearly getting kidnapped by the Captain of the Guard. Good times.
[Full summary below Read More] SPOILERS for Curse of Strahd
((Keep in mind, Luna (myself) had only just joined the campaign when the party has been in Barovia for a week. So some balls might have been rolling already. In terms of plot / quests / events.))
When she first entered Vallaki at the dead of night , Luna saved the party while they were being attacked by some night creatures. After fending off the fanged humanoids Luna decides to stick with the party for safety in this new dangerous place, helping returning some bones to a church. Resting at the church for the night, feeling hints that there are still some more night creatures out and about. The next day she negotiates with the party to help her travel Barovia in search of her mentor and agrees to do the party a favor by stealing a dress from the Mayor’s house.
There was some time to kill and Luna needed to be caught up on details about Barovia and the town she was in. The party let her in on the fact that no one can leave Baorvia and that Strahd is an undead creature of some kind. ((The PLAYERS know he is a vampire, but we are good at RPing so non of the Characters know he is a Vampire)). With this new insight and after discussing their plans, Luna and the party decide to go searching around town before the festival starts. As they all decided that the festival would be a great time to steal the dress. After scouting out the town, finding some key locations, and setting up to split the party. One half to distract and preform for the festival, the other half helping Luna get in and out of the Mayor’s house. Once evening struck they went on their way.
(( Some of the players were unavailable during the session of the dress stealing so it ended up working out. Luna, Doug the skeleton gloom stalker, and Neyla the half-orc Paladin were the only PCs during the heist. The rest were written to be preforming for the festival so it worked out well))
Doug on distraction and scout duty in the back yard and Nelya on lookout for any returning guards or mayor in the front of the house. While Luna actually worked on getting into the mansion and stealing the dress as she was the most capable. Having skills in thieves tools and spells like invisibility.
The breaking in went amazing! Luna managed to unlock an empty first floor window and crept in. There were two house maids still at the manor despite the festival saying everyone was mandatory to be there but w/e. No big deal. With a Message Spell (Cantrip) Luna told Doug to create a distraction. He proceeded to break on of the opposite side windows and scared the two poor house maids. Not what Luna had in mind, but Doug was a trickster at heart (this would come more into play later). With a good distraction and using Invisibility (lvl 2) she snuck out of the room up the stairs to the second floor. No one knew she was in the house and no one was upstairs. So she starts looking into rooms to try and find this dress.
Hallway 1. Study, closet, mini dungeons, bedroom, and then another door that was locked. Luna picked it, not sure which rooms were going to be the master bedroom so checking all the rooms was important. Upon unlocking this door, Luna found a bedroom FULL of creepy yet well crafted female dolls, with bronze skin and some with Auburn hair, with others having both auburn and golden streaks of hair. Luna... [[ Rolling a 2 on insight]] decided to leave this room alone, getting the creeps, blocking from her mental image, and closing the door.
Hallway 2, bathroom, then finally the powder room that had the wedding dress! At first she almost screamed thinking it was a person standing in the room but luckily she didn’t. Sending another Message to Doug she said she found the dress. Doug replies, “There is someone coming upstairs!”
Luna can now hear the footsteps coming from the kitchen to the second floor. Pausing to listen, still invisible btw, and wait to hear where the footsteps go. They don’t go into the powder room. Luna takes this moment of opportunity to stuff the dress into her bag. Just as she finished stuffing the dress into her back, making it fade into the invisibility spell, the door the the powder room opens.
Doug, at this point, had decided to step in with another distraction. In all of his spooky skeleton glory he decided to knock on the back door of the house. The second house maid, opens the door and sees a tall skeleton morph and change. As if living flesh was reverse melting back onto his skeletal form, while screaming. He used Disguise Self to make himself look like the poor house maid looking back at him. Like a spooky ghost doppelganger.
The high-pitched screaming of the door answering maid helped out a lot as the house maid upstairs was now concerned with her friend downstairs. Running out of the room and allowing Luna to sneak out of the back window into the night. Luna informed Neyla through Message that everything was fine and that Doug was just preforming a distraction. And also informed her that she is out and heading back to the inn.
With wedding dress in bag, and successfully was unseen by anyone. Luna ran her way back to the Blue Water Inn, but before she was home free there were a group of guards heading up the road to the town square. Luna, being at the wrong place and wrong time, was spotted by the Captain of the Guard while she was making her way on a cross road. His eye contact alone made Luna freeze, as she didn’t want to look suspicious. Wanting to wait for them as they passed, but the Captain instead told his set of guards to go on ahead saying “Find the beast and kill it.” before approaching Luna.
Luna thinking that, ‘Oh he is just now meeting me a new face. Try to not be suspicious,’ and being the polite person that she is, decided to greet the man approaching her. Unforchantlly, upon seeing Luna’s pretty little face the man decided to pick her up and proceeded to kidnap her.
Luckly before the session ended, Luna was rescued by her teammates hearing her screen bloody murder at being randomly picked up by a complete stranger and taken back to the Mayor’s house which she JUST came from.
“A star shines brightest when surrounded by darkness, let us hope this light does not burn out.”
Luna finds herself in the land of Barovia while following a cold trail to her mentor. Knowing very little about this land, she now finds herself working with a group of adventures who fill her in.
“Oh... So... no one can leave Barovia? Oh.... Okay..... *internal screaming* ”

My DnD session is this Friday. Soon we will have updates about the Captain of the Guard and his doll room. Speaking of Dolls, enjoy this little Luna Doll.
So I am a little unsure if I should change Luna’s sub class in this new session of CoS. I was playing the Spirit Bard but I felt like it was missing just... one tiny thing in it’s kit to really make it feel like a “Spirit Bard” yeah know what I mean? Everything else is good but it has no access to communing with the dead at all, I understand it is just a spooky story teller class now, but I really was hoping to explore more spirit related things...
At the moment I have set up Luna to be more of a Glamor Bard for her performance side, but I feel like I am going to miss part of the spooky aspect of the Spirit bard. It worked so well in her kit before. IDK... any suggestions or input from yall lurking?
(Edit/Update)
I thought I would add on what all Luna is made up of. So I am mostly focused on sub classes or maybe homebrew spells to add if possible. But of course, I am all about fairness and not trying to mid-max/make something broken. ^^; Trust me I know how to break the game (I mained Druid and Cleric for many years, if you know you know). But yeah, here is her current set up. below the cut.
Luna Eirian - Level 7 - Bard (Spirit? Glamor? or Multi-class?)

Through a combination of fast-talking, determination, and official-looking documentation, you can gain access to a place or an individual related to a crime you’re investigating. Those who aren’t involved in your investigation avoid impeding you or pass along your requests. Additionally, local law enforcement has firm opinions about you, viewing you as either a nuisance or one of their own.

Darkvision
Unending Breath: Can hold your breath indefinitely while you’re not incapacitated.

Starting at 5th level, you can also cast the levitate spell with this trait, without requiring a material component. Once you cast feather fall or levitate with this trait, you can’t cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.
Feats: Fay Touched

You learn the misty step spell and one 1st-level spell of your choice. The 1st-level spell must be from the divination or enchantment school of magic. You can cast each of these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast either of these spells in this way, you can’t cast that spell in this way again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast these spells using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. The spells’ spellcasting ability is the ability increased by this feat.
So I found out what to make Luna for this new campaign. Going to go 6 levels into Spirit Bard and then 1 into the new Lunar Sorcerer that is coming out cause boy that fits Luna so much.
So I am all set for CoS round 2. I will probably be drawing stuff for it with my art friend who is also in this game. So it is going to be fun shenanigans. XD
I just worry that Luna will flirt with every god damn pretty person and die. Cause this DM makes everyone hot. XD rip rip.
So I got some good news and bad news. Bad news first, my CoS campaign went on a hiatus (I am pretty sure indefinitely cause DM is going to some college classes and we all might forget everything once he gets back LOL!)
BUT GOOD NEWS, I will be hoping over to another CoS game with my good friend! The one who was re-writing Strahd in her own way. It is a pretty big party though so I hope I don’t clog up the cogs. So the gears might shift to updates on that one.
Luna might not have as much trauma as she was having in the first campaign but I know that Luna will get some sooner or later in this other one. Cause it is more RP focused in this group with a bunch of spooked roughens and a few goobers. Also this DM keeps making everyone really hot which is going to cause problems for Luna for sure LOL!!!!!
Holy fuck guys. Last night’s session was wild for Luna. Enough so that i had to take a screenshot of some of my fellow Player’s reactions (OOC while listening to the DM’s lore dump) to the news she just got. How could one woman already have all this drama before even getting comfy in the setting. XDDDD
Will type up a proper info dump soonish. If a doodle doesn’t come out of it first.
