Winter is around the corner and that means dry skin. Exfoliating is extremely important in maintaining the health of our skin. It gets rid if old, dead skin and allows fresh new skin to reveal itself. Be sure you exfoliate your face at least every other day with a facial scrub, but don’t neglect the rest of your body either. Invest in a good body scrub or a loofah to use with your regular body scrub and use that to clean yourself in the shower. Moisturize within 60 seconds after drying off for the oils to better absorb into your skin.

Tip of the day:

If you don’t feel like lining your lips or you can’t find a lipliner that matches your lipstick, instead of applying your lipstick straight from the bullet, apply it with a brush. This helps by being able to make precise lines. Get some lipstick onto your brush and use it as if you’re using a lip pencil by first lining & blending, then finish filling in your lip using the bullet.

If you're using glitter/metallic makeup or wearing jewelry, use some that is most fitted to your skin tone. If you are warm, gold is your best option. If you are cool, silver is yours. If you're neutral, you can pull off either one, but especially rose gold (my favorite!)

Eyebrow makeup should be done to enhance your eyebrows, not create them. Use your natural eyebrow as a guide, and with an eyebrow pencil or powder, define the shape, lengthen your eyebrow if needed, and make sure you blend it out to get rid of harsh "crayon-looking" lines.
