This is my sona ref,, she has some lore - essentially a mix of comet moth, io moth, Polyphemus moth, and blue tiger moth for the design, and they can go wherever they please and look however they want to through their dreams - kinda like a mix of astral projection and lucid dreaming :]
^ this isn't her usual outfit btw, put them in anything - i'm particularly fond of grunge fashion,, but this was more to demonstrate body shape and show off the wings, the big round glasses on the small doodle are canon - i have large round glasses irl :]

not my usual content, but this features my current DND oc and her future partner, Kochiel. I’ll write a summary of what’s happening below :)

Ayla Liamaris is a half-elf druid with a circle of stars. Instead of transforming into animals she can take the shape of a constellation (as seen at the end, though she didn’t specify which constellation, she just turned into her ‘Starry Form’ as its called). Kochiel, a fallen deva, has agreed to teach her. They are seeking redemption for their sins (a trolly track situation which was frankly unfair to them), and find it in helping mortals. That’s how they met Ayla.
Ayla lost both her parents when she was just a kid, cultists who worship the Mindflayers (dnd lore, you can look it up if you want more info but essentially they are brain devouring conquerers i think? LOL i'm still new to dnd myself). They stole any survivors when they burned down the town and Ayla was one of them. She burned her leg in that fire where she watched her mother burn alive. She was captured and held hostage by the Mindflayers for a few years before she escaped due to a major injury (the scar on her back) freeing her mind from their control.
From there she found a town that took her in where she grew up and trained. She wanted to protect the town for taking her in - but orcs came in and started causing trouble. Ayla couldn‘t take them on her own so she tried to get stronger instead of getting help. Her stubbornness was her town’s downfall.
She met Kochiel whilst attacking strangers to try and force herself to get stronger by taking on different opponents and they trained her for a little bit before she returned only to find the town iced over. Cryovain, a ravaging young ice dragon hit her town. She would have given up if not for Kochiel’s encouragement and protection.
The only reason she lives for a long time is for her revenge. It isn’t until she truly allows a deeper connection to be built between her and Kochiel and the rest of her party that she’ll find a better reason to live.
