24Feb19 :D
cosmic drift
each star in the sky
a hook in your skull, or
wires running down your wrists
and threads knotted to your hair.
when you sleep,
you dream in half moons
and written lies, every hour you
lose the memory of gravity, how to
hold yourself to this world- again and again,
it escapes you, seeks you out, filters away-
don't go slipping off into the cosmos,
not while i'm still tied to this
rocking ocean, held aloft by
swaying cliffs;
they whisper
collapse,
and every night
you are farther
in the sky
than i can follow.
