11. Lapidoso, she/her 🥺 (ily hi)
Lapidoso - full of stones, said of roads or of the bottom of a river
Wishes are said to be found in the river of dreams in the form of lapis colored stones. Leviathan had always known of them and for once he was ready to share his secrets.
He held onto her hand tightly as they slowly trailed through the shallow rushing waters. The vibrant blue reflections colored the otherwise clear water only allowing them to see the smooth stones beneath their bare feet. The feeling, all too familiar to him, was slightly uncomfortable as the sharp edges poked at the balls of her soles. She held on tightly to his arm as the moved forward, the sound of rushing water becoming louder.
Once at the edge where the water falls, he lifted two lapis stones from the river bed and handed one to her. Make a wish, he told her. Make it then drop the stone over. Don't look back or else it won't come true. Unsure how, she looked to him for guidance as he made his wish and instead looked in awe of how tightly he held onto the stone. How close it was to his lips as he mumbled silently into it with his eyes closed. How he poured so much of himself into it's unknown power before he moved it away.
There wasn't much for her to wish for. Everything she's ever wanted was given to her in this very moment. She took the time to only wish for good health for those she loved before they both extended their arms over the edge and released the stones from their grasp, immediately turning away. Unbeknownst to her, he had wished the hardest for her to be happiest with him.
