[If there was one thing that Raz could spot from miles away, it was a mental breakdown -- in a way, that was part of being a Psychonaut! Or, well, a Psychonaut-in-training. In all fairness, this breakdown had been pretty obvious, moreso than if Raz had actually encountered a "bad mood" or a "panic attack" in the mental world; the jester had the classic curled-up body language of someone who'd been through something dreadful, and just behind them was one of Raz's own personal demons...that is, a circus tent. That being the case, he could definitely understand why they were so upset.]
[Raz had nothing but sympathy for his fellow unhappy performers, as a former reluctant showman himself. Practicing his acrobatics non-stop with virtually no end in sight had been grueling and miserable for him; sure, the tricks he'd been taught had been of some use to him throughout his Psychonaut training, but that was about all they were good for. He'd never go back to that life.]
[He snapped out of his derailed train of thought once the jester addressed him -- oh, right! He'd rushed over to cheer them up before his thoughts had gotten so sidetracked! Whoops.]
❝ Oh, uh -- hi! My name's Raz. ❞ [He felt it important to introduce himself with a friendly greeting, first and foremost, even offering a hand for them to shake.] ❝ I saw you all balled up out here, so I wanted to see if you were okay. I know it's not really any of my business, but...I like helping people out when they're upset. ❞ [That was one way of putting it. "I use my trusty PSI Portal on strangers when they're in desperate need of therapy" was another, but he was more cautious about using that thing all willy-nilly now. "He wasn't at camp anymore," as Agent Forsythe had so bluntly put it -- talking first, mental world exploration only if people genuinely needed it.]
