Nel takes time to groom himself every evening as he wakes. He spends time combing, oiling, and brushing his hair, in a ritual that is meditative with outlined steps. It often serves as a time to reflect and ground himself, to fully wake and become cognizant, and be mindful of his body by spending time with himself in the silence of his room. Listening only to the tins of creams and pomades opening and the sound of the brush gently whooshing through his hair. Paying attention to the feel of his hair in his hands and the silky ribbons he uses as he ties his hair back.

6. What do they smell like?

I want to say that I answered this before, and if I remember correctly I decided Nel would have a light floral smell, like rose. Rosewater and orange blossom have been a perfume for a LONG long time.

While not an oc sure but I'll answer that Gregoria also smells like perfume, but below that is a smell like musty old rock. Like a basement. I put that in a couple places but I couldn't say where. There's a smell like the fucking grave that is just STUCK to her under whatever scent she applies. Sinister as hell.

7. What is their hair texture like?

Both of them actually have a very similar hair texture! Nel and Gregoria both have mostly straight, silky hair. I imagine both take very good care of their hair so it's VERY shiny and vibrant. Nel has a couple cowlicks where the hair curls, he may only ever have a bit of wavey hair going on if it was cut short/the weight was taken off.

The mischievous look that he returned Nel clarified the intent that he struggled to put together before. His posture relaxed. Any bother on his face melted away, as a serene smile took its place on his face.

Nel leaned down, just enough to impose the shadow of his broad stature. He spoke in a hush, wearing his smile even in the snide tone of his voice.

"No, it did not. But if you insist, I would be happy to let you try. It would be so fun to watch."

Man I don't think much about Nel but then people show how much they enjoy him and it makes me soft for him again ;;

"You'd really help me out?" Annalise beamed up at him, a genuine twinkle in her eye.

"I just...hah...I'd never really thought about expanding my horizons for a long time. I suppose it's just because I've been living off of my farm for so long, but..." She chuckled softly. "I guess times have changed quite a bit, no? It would be nice to share my produce with other potential buyers..."

Her gaze drifted toward the living room window, where snow had begun to pile up in the farmyard outside.

"...Besides, it'd be grand to invest in an actual tractor for farm work. Could you imagine me driving one of those big things? Hah!"

"Of course!" he found himself laughing delightedly, if not in disbelief. "We have wonderful seasonal markets in the village, the market has thrived for centuries in one form or another. Many locals, and then there are tourists for the festivals. Then you have the farmers markets that take place...people that have been contributing for generations. I have a history with them, and I would be happy to welcome you there."

"It's the longevity in this region that keeps many of these places thriving. There will always be people who are visiting, and others who are hungry like the rest of the residents. And I...may have my hand in a couple of the local businesses. They owe me, naturally, and while I will not hound them, I think I am due a favor."

His brows rose and he smiled in a keen way.

"If you were interested in some better equipment."

10. What is a weird quality that they have (ie their hands are always cold, they’re always hungry, they snort when they laugh, etc)?

Oh NATURALLY his skin is cold. He also likes to eye people quietly for a while, which is probably disconcerting, but more often than not he's really trying to take them in and be considerate in a way.

I think Nel is more soft and gushy in private tbh--he presents himself as a very well-kept if not slightly uptight and imposing sort of person to others. He is much more relaxed and softened when left to his own devices.

Nel really does not like to lie. If he did lie you would see his face press tight at his brow and around his lips. He finds it...very frustrating to attempt a lie.
