Navigating the lock via touch was something that Isiel, while having significant practice in, happened to be a bit rusty in doing. Not to mention, with the lock only being partially tech based, there was a section that needed to be picked while the tech was activated to make it open. Stubbornly ignoring the hoard of eliksni coming up behind her, Isiel managed to get the mechanical part of the lock undone fairly easily.
However, reaching the wiring was proving to be frustrating. Peering into the lock, with Circinus carefully providing extra light, she bit back a groan of frustration at the dead core of the lock. The lack of electricity meant that the door would only open for a few seconds before shutting down. Shoving her arm back in the lock, she focused arc energy to the tips of her fingers. “Alright, let’s hope this works on three,” she muttered, glancing to Adnan before touching the core.
A sputtering sound followed, and for a moment it looked as if the door wouldn’t open. But, with an ear piercing creak, the lock opened. Without a second thought, Isiel grabbed the back of Adnans’ coat and yanked. “In we go!” She announced, pulling him through the small opening with her and onto the cold ground on accident. Seeing the door stay open, even as the power began to dwindle, she pushed herself up, slamming her foot into the mechanical locking mechanism on the inside of the door. With a slow creak, the door closed on the arms of grasping eliksni, and left the two in a mostly dark room. Igniting a knife with solar energy, she gave him a half grin. “Well, that was exciting. Shall we see how far back this goes or, go up?”
