What’s the Korea thing?
Oh, The korea thing. I was quite stressed and worried at times. So I hope I can explain it right. Basically in December very last minute Joong decided to go to Turkey to see his family for Christmas, but Nine and his family had already booked a holiday and Joong was supposed to join them. Joong obviously asked Nine if he could see his family and Nine agreed he could. But Nine still struggled during the holiday away. He started using his now famous ‘crown’ emoticon for the first time and the fandom linked it to him missing Joong. he still uses it most of the time to indirect Joong, that hasn’t changed. Then Nine went Live and he was beyond emo. The whole live he looked sad and out of it. And he talked a lot about missing Joong and talked about being worried and being sort of empty. It was hard to watch to be honest. But it also gave us this moment. Which is Nine saying that Joong is the best thing that has ever happened to him. So, it’s definitely a live that people remember in all kinds of ways. He then confessed through twitter that he had bought a ticket to Korea on an impulse and that he was leaving in two days. Basically on the day that Joong would return from Turkey. They saw each other that day because they celebrate Santa Clause at Motive, but then Nine was off to South Korea. It was unclear if Joong even know about it at first, but later a video was released by Turkish fans of Joong mentioning that he knew Nine was heading to South Korea which got repeated in yesterday’s live when Joong was teasing Nine. Some fans also think you can feel tension between Joong and Nine when Nine arrives but I will leave that for you judge. They were definitely fine later in the day though when they shot promotional material for Pavel’s clothing line. Joong went live later that evening with Pavel. And they called Nine out several times and even chose songs that talked about how Joong was still a bit confused about what had happened. Pavel staying behind to party with Joong was strongly implied to be to cheer him up.
Nine didn’t really end up having a good time in South Korea though. He was mostly cold because it was freezing there and he seemed to regret the decision to leave. Joong decided he wasn’t going to do nothing with Nine abroad and went on a holiday with his friend Porr. To which Nine decided to like an IG post saying “I want to be your favourite destination on good and bad days”. Make of that as you will. On December the 31th they finally IGLived to together and talked so that we could also see them and Nine admitted that he felt lonely in the big house and big bed by himself and that he wanted Joong to feel the same way so he left for Korea. They were definitely fine by then, Joong even called Nine at midnight to wish him a Happy new Year in a live. And they were already worried about the lack of time they had together in the new year. Nine did another live the next day where he said " If he’s going, i will not hold him. What he loves and what makes him happy is fine” Making the fandom again worried and anxious about his state of mind. And wonder how we went from happy New year’s live to another round of emo Nine. He was happier later in the evening when he joined Earth in a live, but based on likes from Joong and Nine at time, they had a good chat in between these moments. Three days later Nine went straight from a family party to pick Joong up close to midnight so they could spend time together he had only got back late in the evening the day before. So this was the first moment he could see Joong and he clearly didn’t mind the late hour. It was a whole stressful, emo two weeks to be honest, but it’s one of the biggest telltale signs to me, that whatever they are, it’s very real and special and the whole thing showed how much Nine can get lost in his insecurities when it comes to his relationship with Joong. They have been super close since and have gone out of their way to make sure they can spend every moment available to them together. So, they definitely looked at the separation and decided those two weeks were long enough and not worth repeating ^^.
