Something didn’t settle well within her stomach at the implication of him contradicting his words. She had become familiar with how monster couples had children, but given that he was a monster and she is human..she didn’t know what could come of it.

And here she thought he didn’t want to have kids.

“I’m..just curious as to why you’re asking sweetie. I thought you were okay not having kids. Wouldn’t even know how anything would work if we tried.”

That...wasn’t something she had expected to hear from Doc.

Time and time again, she had been told by him multiple times that there was no way they could have children, and she had accepted that. After all, they basically adopted Sami and they had the baby Pokemon here too. So the look of confusion clearly was on her face.

“But...sweetheart, I thought you said we couldn’t have children?”

Part of her was curious as why he was asking, but at the same time, a feeling seemed to grow in the pit of her stomach.

"None in mind currently but maybe you can choose one for us," he somewhat insists. Get her mind off of bills and papers and onto something fun and lighthearted that wasn't All Hallow's. He knows he shouldn't be worried... but this year just feels more haunted than the last. Especially without the kid. "I can go and get Sami, collect some of the Pokemon to lay with us, maybe get something to snack on and to drink. What do you say?" (cosmictied)

“I think I might have one in mind...”

If she could get a distraction from all the bills and papers right now, she’d be in Paradise. So she’s more than happy to allow him to drag away from this drab of work and spend time with the family. She had been having a little craving of popcorn lately.

“Sounds like a plan to me, dear.”

Lanky arms wrap around the breeder's shoulders. Protectively, almost as if to shelter her from something unseen. Doc is careful in his touch to grab her attention, knowing how sneaky he can be sometimes, but he does so anyway. "Kekasihku, I do believe some rest is in order. Syphoria had been busy mulling over papers and bills, trying to compile what they had into an organized stack. She did jump a little with feeling arms wrapping around her shoulders but, visibly relaxed to realize it was just Doc. She’s all too familiar with how he is about this time of year.

“Mmm, a movie?” Syph spoke and turned her head, giving him a soft smile and a kiss on his cheek. Sneaky bugger. “Got a movie in mind?”

It was that time of the year again that Syphoria went all out with decorating the Daycare, even borrowing the neighbor’s pair of Spinerak to help with some webbing. The woman hummed a happy tune while setting up decorations, only to look about and see someone was missing.

Where was her husband?

“Sweetheart? Are you going to come decorate with me?” She called out through the open door into the building itself, just to see if she’d get a reaction. Just where could he be right now?

“Vull! Vulpix!”

Pixie greets Doc outside of the Daycare with him coming home, only to pause and feel something was amiss. It was a scent that was lingering on him, that made her fur stand up on end, a worried look coming from her chocolate eyes. Just what had happened while he was gone? “Vulll..?” She tilted her head and approached, all while Syphoria was inside, getting food ready.

Just where had Doc been?

Syph always played little games with the babies, it was an activity she always did to enrich them whenever the weather was bad. With it raining outside, she was playing hide and seek with them all over the daycare, being it and trying to find them. “Ready or not, here I come!”

Kanga, who had been learning to walk a bit, started waddling off to find a hiding spot, remembering there was a good spot beside a specific someone’s arm chair she could hide. The baby Kangaskhan tottled to the spot and tried to hide herself in there, only for her tail to be sticking out of place.

No one will find her here!

What a crazy weekend its been, what with Doc having been practically kidnapped by a strange foreigner and whisked away. Thankfully, he was back but...they didn’t get to celebrate Valentine’s Day together. She wanted to make him a nice dinner with just the two of them and maybe cuddle up for some movies, but they never got the chance.

Time to make up for it....

Syphoria had cooked a dinner, made a few of Doc’s favorite things, and had everything set, and now....just to find her fiance. What exactly did that foreigner want with him anyway?
