Hey guys! Cosmo updates!
If anyone wants numbers on total donations I will do a check but by a quick estimation I think his last vet bills were completely covered. Again I cannot thank everyone enough for just the amount of love and support my little guy got.
But mostly making this post because today we are going back to the vet. We are going to talk about his kidneys and pancreas, probably run new tests to check on those levels, as well as I am going to inquire about shots and vaccinations for him. They gave him his rabies shot last time because they are sort of required by law to do so. I might get those done at the Humane Society depending on what they quote me but I am going to be living in a dorm next semester and Cosmo will be my ESA. That means he needs up to date shots!
Also to let you all know he is doing great so far! His first few days from the last vet appointment were a bit touchy but he recovered quickly and frankly hated his medicines. So much so we didn't even take them the last day he was supposed to because he was just doing that well! (They were anti nausea medicines not like an antibiotic or smth dw.) But since then he's been doing fantastic. He's eating so much and actually has more energy because he's eating so well.
Speaking of eating, him and his sister adjusted well to their feeders. Cosmo especially loved it so much at first. Now that he's gotten used to it, though, he's become picky again and is eating less. He is begging for food so I don't think it's illness. He's always been very picky about freshness ontop of being a slow eater. So new adjustments need to be made! Today the vet will most likely do a new diet so I think with the new food I will schedule his feeder to go off maybe 4 times a day? Ive been manually feeding his full daily amount everyday to judge how much he actually eats. But since hes eating less (which i think is just a freshness issue, I used to have to pretend to give him fresh food when he was the only cat in the house lol) we'll go ahead and try that. Before he got picky he was eating pretty much all of his daily allotment.
My only issue is wet food. He is the only cat in the world who wont go crazy over wet food. He is eating only half a can pretty consistently when he needs to eat one. And I have tried a million ways to save the half of a can for him to eat later and he will turn his nose up at it. Im going to ask his vet for suggestions but if anyone has any let me know!
Other than that, he's just as healthy and annoying as before, maybe even a bit healthier. I'll update what the vet says later.
Donation links in pinned post as always! But love and support is always just as good.
