"Gumball's eyes widen in absolute horror when he hears from Penny how Larry had been going through a lot lately. His girlfriend Karen left him, multiple jobs of his laid him off due to recent economic issues, and on top of it all, he was on the verge of getting evicted from his home, and his mother had a serious illness he was also trying to raise money for so she could get an operation to get better.......
You see, the previous day was April Fool's Day, and Gumball had bought a fake lottery ticket at the local joke shop, and out of all the people in Elmore to give a fake lottery ticket to, he decided Larry was the best possible victim for what he thought would be a hilarious prank. Had he known of all the financial hardships Larry was actually going through, Gumball never would have left the ticket in Larry's mailbox to begin with.......
In that moment, he tried thinking of a way to make it up to Larry and apologize to him once he inevitably found out at the bank that the ticket was fake and he wasn't going to be winning 5 million dollars..... But it was too late as he saw Larry in his car speeding through traffic at full speed, running multiple red lights as the police chased him, until he inevitably and purposefully crashed into Ripley 2000's window, a shard of glass impaling the poor origami rock in his windpipe"
