Sorry this took so long!
Cosmo appreciates that you can do your job and do it well
She doesn’t immediately have any sort of comrade with with, which is pretty normal for her. Despite being an herbivore, she’s a loner and doesn’t tend to stay in the company of others unless it’s for some form of work.
When you managed to smash a males head in when he came after her, and caused a small crater, she was a little more than impressed.
You get sent home for the day, since the crater classifies as pretty major property damage.
The manager is pretty pissed. There’s “Enough bouncers out there who wont cause hundreds of dollars of damage!” He implies your job is on the line and sends you home.
Cosmo happens to hear him complaining in his office. Once you leave, she takes a stand and steps in. She threatens to leave if he doesn’t keep you on. “At least with him around your dancers are safe. What were you going to do if he hadn’t stopped that guy, huh?”
She knows she’s also technically replaceable, but finding an herbivore that’s both willing to risk their life, and as good as she is at her job, is difficult to do. It’d also be costly. If she went to a competitor they’d be out money.
After the discussion is ended she ends up going to your place.
Cosmo steadies herself, already annoyed at herself for deciding to go out so late, early? Yeah, early. Three in the morning counted as early. Why she had decided she had to tell you personally that you still had a job was beyond her, but she had never been one for emotions. She was analytical, skeptical, and logical. Going out in the early hours in this neighborhood? She might as well be like the old man selling his fingers, no, she was even dumber. She was risking her life for nothing. She wasn’t even going to potentially get paid for doing this.
Regardless, she knocks at your door with purpose. She listens, and hears you shuffling around inside. At least you were home, she hadn’t considered that you may have not been until she actually knocked. Cosmo cursed herself for letting her feelings getting a hold of her, making her take risks that would be meaningless in the long run.
“Cosmo?” You open the door, stepping back to allow you to be better face to face. Cosmo eyes you. Big? Yes. Scars? Yes. Cosmo wasn’t surprised, and she’d seen males similar in the time she’d worked at the club. You were built more like a carnivore than an herbivore though, so that was a bit surprising. She wasn’t intimidated.
“I was coming to tell you that you’re keeping your job. Don’t be late tomorrow night, or the boss will really have your head next time,” Cosmo’s tone was even, cool. She even sounded a bit disinterested.
“Really? I thought he was going to fire me?” She shook her head, eyes betraying an annoyance that she couldn’t seem to hide.
“You had my back, so I had yours. We’re even,” She grips the strap of her purse and keeps eye contact with you.
“S-Sure,” You weren’t sure what to say.
“Good. I’ll see you tomorrow evening. Then, if you’re free after, maybe we can get a drink,” Her expression remained almost unreadable. The grip on the strap on her handbag got tighter.
“Yeah! We, we can do that,” Cosmo nodded, seeming satisfied. She turned on her heel, and began walking away, leaving you on your stoop to process what just happened.
