your last cosplay(credence) turned out AMAZING!! Do you maybe have any tips for sewing it? or some patterns that may help? or maybe kind of fabric you used? I would really like to try and sewing this cosplay(and for thr first time too) ((BTW your style is amazing too!))
Ah~ Thank you much kind friend! There is some more in depth construction notes and pictures for Credence on my Facebook here (quick warning in case of arachnophobia, there is a picture of a huntsman spider getting all up in the sleeves over there). For patterns I draft my own, and it gets a little messy at times.Materials were mostly recycled or else scraps from other projects (and sometimes these salvaging habits lead to wildly inappropriate fabric choices):
Shirt - lightweight woven cotton. Interfaced (outer collar, sleeve cuffs, upper back outer, and button placket) with light non-woven fusing.
Waistcoat - boiled wool front (airbrushed stripes), cotton canvas back, polyester satin lining. Interfaced (entire outer front, outer back armholes and neckline) with medium woven fusing.
Tie - Polyester satin. Interfaced with medium woven fusing.
Jacket - cotton/polyester stretch suiting outer, wildly inappropriate leopard print satin lining (upper back only), light woven cotton for covered buttons, and polyester satin inside sleeve head. Interfaced mostly with medium woven fusing, but light non-woven may have haphazardly made its way into the sleeves when I ran short.
Hope some of that is helpful!
