Cosplaying or costume playing is a hobby we do to show appreciation to our favorite animated characters. It gives us the opportunity to show love and appreciation to our favorite characters by dressing up as them. Cosplaying is never easy, it can be pretty expensive and takes up a lot of time but surely it is worth it.

As for me, cosplaying is indeed my way of showing my appreciation to my favorite characters. I love dressing up and even acting as them in some scenarios. As for my costume, I do sew my own. Having your costume done by others versus sewing your own costume will give you different feeling. I’m not good with sewing and it’s not even my thing, but knowing I finished my own costume and later improving just gives so much happiness. I feel contented, yes, but I know I still need to improve. I’m also planing on making my own wig on my later cosplays using wefts so I can costumize my own and will design them in canon (since not all wig are the same as the one in the character references).

Cosplaying is a wonderful thing for me. Not just it will give you chance to be like your favorite character, it also helps you socialize with people in the same interest. It forms a bond between people and creates a friendship through different events and cons we attend to.

Cosplay Mania 2014, a big cosplay event in which we were given an opportunity to meet cosplayers from different parts of the world. We’ll get to meet people in the same interest and form a bond between all of us cosplayers: exchanging coscards and talking about our characters and even having a picture together with them. I know it will be much expensive to me since I currently live in Davao City, but as a cosplay enthusiasts, I’ll do my best to attend the said event since I don’t usually get to attend big con such as this.

Fortunately, magnetic-rose is having a raffle entry for cosplayers throughout the world to have a chance to win a titanium ticket for this years Cosplay mania. I trust on my luck on this one, that hopefully, I would luckily be given a chance to attend the said con without costing to much and even get to meet and greet famous cosplayers from different countries(since I’m only planning to buy a bronze ticket).
