A few weeks back, we interviewed Brett Garman, PeakRadar.com's program manager at the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region. Anything you need to know about the Arts & Culture scene in the community, just ask, she has the answer.
Brett is also involved with many organizations, and supports Bristol Brewing Co. She's a rock star! It's true. So we just had to ask her, "COSrocks because...?"
Mike Clark of The Haunted Windchimes tells us why Colorado Springs rocks for COSrocks Talks...
Pulled aside at Lofty's one year anniversary event on Dec. 3, where he also performed, Clark shared his reason: the music (some of the best bands in the state of Colorado).
He's obviously a talented, intelligent and creative musician. See for yourself, as he rides his bike, plays his guitar and sings his song "Hey Daisy" on the streets in Colorado Springs.
COSrocks Talks with Alicia Prescott, Executive Pastry Chef at the Blue Star/Nosh/Old School Bakery & Cafe. . .
Many people have asked about the progress of the bakery opening in Ivywild across the street from The Blue Star (and Bristol Brewing Co.). While it's not open yet, you can taste the work in progress, try what they are baking (breads and pastries, yum!) and give your feedback. The Old School Bakery (via The Blue Star) and Alicia are more reasons why Colorado Springs ROCKS! Hear her reasons why #COSrocks.
Side bar: Alicia is the reining 2008 winner of the Chef's Gala dessert category for her Chocolate Truffle Hazelnut Torte w/ Mini Cannoil & Espresso Crème Anglaise. She also won People's Choice at Glass Slipper Ball for Lemon Raspberry Charlotte Russe w/ Lemon Curd Sauce.
