So this semester I took a costume tech class and our final project was a buckram hat. I made what I have been calling a "Little Bo Peep" bonnet! I am proud of it!

GUESS WHO JUST GOT HER SECOND INTERVIEW FOR SUMMER WORK??
And tech begins
Proactive Career Arc, ACTIVATE!
I just bought $30 worth of books on costume design and sewing techniques because even though I already have a job in the field, I don’t feel like I belong there, because I only know what I’ve had to learn on the job. There are holes in my sewing experience. Surprisingly large holes considering I’ve been doing this for over 15 years now.
But that’s the cool thing about costuming, you can just keep learning and growing your knowledge base, and your hands on experiences add to it every time you start a new project.
Still, filling in the basic gaps is a solid thing I need to do. There are things that I am embarrassed not to know this many years in, but feel foolish asking for assistance with from my employer, or (heaven forbid) my co-workers.
So, self education by way of used college textbooks it is! Thanks Amazon!

This new position requires me to give away too many f****. the show is open. the designer left a week ago. the director wants to make change. and I get to not murder people.
Backstage outfit idea whoop
Black shiny fabric paint on a black sweater b/c I gotta be backstage and Ms.G doesn’t allow any other color.
Hahaha
I had some last-minute studying to do. I told myself to stay up no later than three. Here I am, half an hour later, discovering that this midterm is worth fifty points.
Fifty.
Out of six hundred sixty.
I was worried about this?
Put in a request for dates and paid for my interview with DePaul
*crossing fingers one of the dates i chose will be available*
*crossing fingers even harder that i'm even good enough to get into the program*
*dies*
