Also speaking of AUs, I’ve decided on the difficult decision to cut Draco from my Crossover AU bc oh my god so many characters to write that weren’t in the original plot to begin with and poor Roi is getting pushed to the side despite being part of the original plot and so, one of the first characters (also this story is based on the 5 stages of grief and Roi is Bargaining. All the others get development but Roi and I didn’t like that).
I wanted him to stay because I had sat down and developed a TON of lore between him, Paarthurnax and Grigori as them being gods of this universe who all helped to create humanity, so I felt like I couldn’t remove any of them without having to tweak my lore considerably.
However, I have found a compromise! I have another AU (my Two Princes AU no less) where Bowen is Jura’s father and someone I fully intend to give a larger role to in that story. And since Bowen and Draco are from the same movie, why not take him from one story where I struggle to give him development, and put him in one where he DOES get development? Plus, you can have a running gag of people mistaking Draco for one of Jura’s monsters lmao.
Also, as much as the three are close friends, they wouldn’t stick to each other like glue ALL the time. And having a grandfather (Paarthurnax), uncle (Grigori) AND father (Draco) is a bit much for Nowa, especially since she doesn’t have a grandfather or uncle, but does already have a biological dad. And she already has a boyfriend (two by the end of the story (Ghirahim and Lotor)) and a friend (Roi) alongside her.
Whilst I wouldn’t set my Two Princes AU and my Crossover AU in the same universe, I might still have either Paarthurnax or Grigori reference it as a joke though bc I like doing that with my work. Fun dumb little easter eggs/shoutouts bc that’s one of my fav things to see in games :>
