The Summer of TSR Champions
As part of the 2017 DJBC Tumblr Summer Tour was to capitalize on the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA)’s May Transit System Review (TSR) changes (Remember those? A lot of people still HATE them). The goal and purpose was to have fun riding these new routes and going around town to as many things as possible with the little time that I actually had over a four month span.
WINNERS:
First Place (TIE)- Lines 2 (East Main/North High) and 6 (Cleveland/Sullivant)
Third Place - Line 10 (East/West Broad)
Fourth Place - Line 1 (Kenny/Livingston)
BEST TRANSFER EVENT (Used 2 or More Routes):
First Place - Columbus Arts Festival (Went Three Times, using THREE combined different routes each time)
Second Place - Urban Scrawl XI (Went Twice, with THREE routes contributing total)
Third Place - Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival (Three Routes Were Used in Round Trip)
Fourth Place - Franklin County Fair
EVENT on Most COTA Lines OUTSIDE of Downtown (within Columbus City Limits):
First Place (TIE) - Comfest and Doo Dah Parade (Lines 1, 2, 5, 8, and CBUS); German Village Haus und Garten Tour (Lines 1, 4, 5, 8, and CBUS)
BEST TRIP to An Event:
First Place - Otterbein Homecoming
Second Place - Dublin Irish Festival
Third Place - Team August 19 (Eastgate Centennial/Food and Truck Fest/CrestFest)
Fourth Place - Team August 26 (South Side Harvest Party/Urban Scrawl XI)
