The perfect cold weather red. Gravelly earthy nose with dusty library books that could only be aged Bordeaux (Cotes Castillon). On the palate this still has plenty of life, but is a bit monolithic. Elegant and balanced Red and black fruit, a good dose of oak, leather, and forest floor with chalky tannins on a slightly bitter finish. Got slightly harsher with air, so would pop and pour.
