Mal Cotillion gown redesign
inspired by her Coronation look; the lavender gown
below; the “blonde” version, before Evie changes it
below; “purple/pink” version, after alterations
i basically put the same changes to Mals dress for the second version just a bit more...or less weird. tried to compromise Ben and Mals colors, so Mal has gold and blue on her in the second version, on her gloves and mostly on the gold details. the first one is just the gold details, but for both i would add purple, gold, and blue jewelry; gold and purple earrings, blue and gold bracelets, gold necklace with blue and purple gems.
@disneyfan50 i saw ur rant earlier about how Mals dress should have been lavender since it matched her and i agree (probs unpopular opinion, i don't hate her cotillion dress...it doesn't suit her but its not ugly T_T same with her dragon dress though that one suits her a bit more)
Mal Cotillion redesign; Dragon dress
its alot different that the movie version and a big leap from the redesign i posted a bit ago.
i wanted to do a metallic kinda peacocky design with blue and gold on her torso leading down to the first layer of tulle, but that's the best i could get. i wanted it to look sorta like this but i couldn't comprehend how to do it.
i kept the leather cut shoulder thing because i wanted to keep one aspect from the OG design (like the raised front of the altered v1 dress) kept the “burnt” edges but instead of ripped and tattered edges they are just layered and bunching up, giving it that tattered look without actually being tattered and ripped. they are also layered and ascending up and around on the skirt, sort of giving a petal look.
