Character Intro - Mala
Background:
Mala became sick as a young girl and her parents took her to Kallamar's temple to beg for his intervention. Since she was able to survive such a journey and in recognition of their devotion, Mala was cured. She made a vow that she would one day return, to serve in his temple in anyway she could.
And return she did at the age of 21. As a newcomer to the temple, it took some time for her to find her place, but she eventually found her calling in the healer's wing. She worked, studied, prayed, and religiously attended every sermon Kallamar held for five years, until one day a messenger tracked her down to inform her that she had been summoned to Kallamar's throne room. In reward for her loyalty and devotion, Kallamar had decided to appoint her as one of his deacons. In serving in this role they came to know and understand each other better and fell in love, and she became one of his consorts.
Personality:
Mala is loyal and devoted to both Kallamar and the Old Faith. She is kind and caring and often puts the wellbeing of others first, but is also possessed of a quiet confidence that occasionally emerges when she speaks her mind.
She is Kallamar's newest consort and is still learning to find her place among his other consorts, as well as adjust to her new role and responsibilities.
