The wolf

This is my take on the GOAT’s god of death the Wolf. they are still an inverse of Narinder in some sense. Where Narinder seeks to challenge his role as god of death and break the laws set before him, Renir fully embraces death, devouring every living thing

Renir does not seek freedom, he simply seeks to feed to sate his unending hunger

also something about dogs that don’t get their nails trimmed end up curling inwards and into their foot, thought that would be a fun detail to add

Little things in Cult of the Lamb that made me actually pause and feel... something (spoilers)

1. Going from having a good chat with Sozo to watching him begin to shake and shudder, only to come back one day to check on him and find him dead. I wasn’t spoiled on him dying/being overtaken by the mushrooms, and so when I found his body, and saw that everyone had left him, I had to just... sit for a minute and stare at it in silence. That was my friend. And he’s dead now.

2. I was going for 100% completion and so I had to get all the follower forms. The last one I was missing was Monster. So I went and found Rakshasa, who is only ever helpful and friendly and has never been unkind, beat up on his snail wife while he screamed and begged for me to stop, and then beat him in a fight, leaving him eternally traumatized, rocking back and forth. After it was all said and done with, I genuinely felt like a bad person.

3. Giving up Ratau to the Wolf for the last talisman piece. I didn’t even think about what I was doing when it first happened, and it was over so quickly that I was barely able to process what I’d just done. I sat there at Midas’ cave for the longest time, then went to the lonely shack and found... his letters. Yeah, that hurt. It wasn’t worth it at all.

Wow! What a cute and fun game! Who could have ever imagined a game about cults in the woods could ever be dark and upsetting :)

Goat’s Time in Purgatory with Harinder

I saw a color video and this was my test run.

Also this ties into more of goat’s lore with harinder!

LORE!

Goat’s death was not as fast and easy as Lamb’s. Rather his throat was cut open and he bled to death.

He also has wounds cause he always had a chaotic life and was always fighting. Even moments before his death he fought so hard.

But goat finally felt that sense of peace when he met Harinder. Goat was ready to throw down with a god but was introduced to something he never really had before, peace.

This made goat not leave purgatory for a long time. For 2 reasons. Harinder wanted goat to stay so the bishops think that Harinder’s return never was possible for good. And goat was not ready to live again, the it was the first time he didn’t have to fight against others and found someone who never seen him negative whole being given a chance.

Goat stayed in purgatory for a long time, it didn’t feel long there but in reality it was decades of it. Goat learned many things of Harinder and formed a genuine good bond with him.

For the past decades goat finally started his life again as the wild chaotic card he is, not really caring about anything else but to free his god.

Have narinder and harinder ever met? What do they think of each other?

No they have not met! The two are stuck in different gateways that belong in different worlds which makes it currently impossible for them to meet. Will they meet in the future? Can’t say! But if they can meet it would probably be something like this
