I'm SUPER-DUPER pleased with how this came out, especially the last page with full color and full rendering.

Definitely worth all the time I spent on it, though to be fair I did have IRL stuff interfering with my working on it and once I got the ball rolling the momentum carried it to the finish line.

I fucking LOVE Yngya. I love how I drew her here as well, and like EVERYTHING I love I have so many ideas swirling in my head about her possible character and her development arc. Personally, I think it would be interesting if Yngya was not a "goddess defiled by her grieving followers" but more like a "goddess defiled by her own grief."

Woolhaven Doodle Dump [01?]

I did a poll where I asked what people's preferences were when it came to doodles. The response was "as soon as they're done" and "very rough." So here's what I got so far.

I am VERY self-conscious about how rough my sketches are. I tried to make them readable, but at the same time I didn't want to dwell on them lest I change my mind and chicken out of doing them entirely. Hopefully my handwriting is legible... >~<'

Woolhaven is going to be incorporated into my AU, but after the canon story. After the events of the base game, Lamb is settling into their role as the new God of Death when they get the call to the mountain and aid Yngya in collecting the souls of the lambs lost to the genocide. Then shit hits the fan, and Lamb welcomes Yngya to their Flock as she recovers her memories.

For clarity, she is NOT Lamb's mother. More like a literal godmother, as she was present when they were born. (And then the prophecy and such made everything go to literal hell.)

Cue the "despite everything, it's still you" Undertale reference.

Lamb found their tasks returning the Lamb's souls to Yngya fulfilling, and immensely satisfying--helping those who were unfairly slain eased their heart not only as God of Death, but also as the Last Lamb. They came to be quite good friends with all in Woolhaven as well, and took great pleasure in cleaning the dilapidated town up with aid of their Flock (minus the Bishops and Narinder. Lamb rightly suspected that they would not be a welcome sight in the town, as Lamb had yet to explain all that happened after they usurped Narinder.)

But as they traveled through Ewefall and The Rot...something wasn't feeling right.

The Rot's very presence needled at Lamb, in the back of their mind. At first, they dismissed it as simply a reaction to their new godly duty and The Rot standing in defiance of it.

...but it persisted. And grew larger.

And the more souls that Lamb returned to Yngya, the more their senses screamed at them that something is wrong, something is WRONG...!

And then Lamb revived Sariel, and that's when they knew there was more to what ever plan Yngya and her disciples told them.

Yet again, they were walking straight into a god's trap.

...and yet the souls of Lambs still wander Ewefall...

...and so, the God of Death squared their shoulders and continued forward anyway.

They killed Gods before.

If they had to...

...they could do it one more time.

Lamb's arc in Woolhaven reflected some of my experience playing the DLC itself. I knew something wasn't right the MOMENT The Rot came into play, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what until Sariel gave his whole opening schpiel and I realized "oh. So that's where we're going..."
