Intention Spell
How often do we start with sound intentions only to get distracted along our way? I have begun several projects and spells only to find myself stymied by the scope of the project or the time it demands. The returns I receive do not seem equal to my intentions. Here is a simple spell to increase the power of your intentions and magnify your works yield. It works best at the New Moon or the start of a new project, but can be cast at any point.
You Will Need
1. A purple candle in a safe holder
2. Pen and paper
3. A small dish or bowl
Preparation
[Recommended for this spell] If it is part of your practice, cast a circle. As you sit with your ingredients before you, centre yourself. Ground yourself in the present moment by focusing on your breath, the sensations of your body, and your connection to the earth.
Casting
Light the purple candle and place it before you (you can substitute a white candle). Concentrate on the flame. Consider how it flickers yet does not go out. Take this energy into yourself and picture it, in your mind's eye, enfolding your intention. Picture it weaving through the seams of your intentions, strengthening it like stitching strengthens a hem.
Write your intention in the centre of your page. Keep it brief: a single word or short phrase. Write three steps to achieving your intention circularly around your intention. Fold the paper in half horizontally and in half again vertically. Holding the paper in your dominant hand, repeat aloud and with conviction:
My words go out before me
They shall not return empty
They achieve what I intend
I prosper through time I spend
Keep the paper near you while you work and read it each day to strengthen your intention.
