i wanna be a home for people!! and i want my house to be as well!! craving cookies? i just made some, they're in that frog-shaped cookie jar by the stove. feeling crafty? come to my mini art studio and see what you can make with the bits and bobs. wanna feed the birds? i got a birdfeeder made out of an old teacup you can refill. need a comfy place to sleep? the guest room is wide open, with an 'overnight basket' and enough cushions to make a nest with. on your period? not a problem, got some homemade pads and tampons in the bathroom, plus some pain relief i just picked up. need a binder? i got plenty in the closet- i don't need or use them, but someone else might. feeling hot? let me turn on the fan and make you some homemade juice. i just want to be a home.

mornings on our porch, cross legged with a classic novel in my lap; little women, the picture of dorian gray, jane eyre, or wuthering heights—first edition that she’d bought me as a birthday present. i can just imagine her in a rocking chair holding a warm cup of hot chocolate, letting me read to her. our home overlooking a wide field of sunflowers, dawn breaking through the cracks in between the clouds, her favorite music is playing on vinyl. and the scent of dust and strawberry muffins baking in the oven and the bittersweet taste of lemonade on my tongue and silky victorian gowns against my skin that we sewed together last week. birds fly overhead and if you listen closely a stream is running not so far away, it almost sounds like the whole world exists only for us. the sapphic fantasy.

Maybe I’ll remember after a hundred more years, maybe the flowers will grow again and the water will be pure once more, maybe the creatures will be happy again, isn’t it a lovely thought, maybe she’ll rebuild herself to be even more beautiful than before, maybe her creations will be kinder, maybe it’ll be more than a wish, oh maybe.
