Thanks for Owl You Do Gift Bag

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here today with a gift bag to share with you.  I actually didn’t use a stamp for my main image on this project, I used the CottageCutz – Stylized Owl die.  I cut all the pieces out with white card stock and colored them with Copics: Owl: E29, E27, E25, E23 Feet and Beak: YR15, Y35, Y15 Branch: E19, E17, E15 Leaves: G28, G05, G03 Eyes: 100, C1, C0

I think it’s kind of fun to do this because you don’t have to worry about cutting every piece out in different colors and you can also add shading if you color with your Copics.

For the frame around the owl I used the My Favorite Things – Insert It Instaframe die.  I covered a piece of white card stock diagonally with different washi tapes and then I die cut the shape.  The die cut surprisingly well through the washi tape and I love how it looks!  The sentiment stamp was just something I had in my stash.  I thought it coordinated perfectly so I had to use it.  I stamped it in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink and colored the tiny owl with the same Copics as the large one.  I added some Glossy Accents to his pupils, beak and feet for some added shine.  I finished everything off with some white get pen stitch lines, some Key Lime Baker’s Twine and a green October Afternoon – Cakewalk button.
