This Carolina Marsh Rabbit is a small sub species of the Cottontail Rabbit. There are two other subspecies of Marsh Rabbits, both in florida. Interestingly, they prefer to walk on all four legs, like a cat. Though these rabbits can hop, walking & running is more suitable for the marsh environment they live in. Unsurprisingly, these rabbits can swim.
