LEWIS/ALEX MAYBE THEM COMING TOGETHER AFTER THEIR ACCIDENT IN BRAZIL
"Alex..." Lewis whispered as he walked into the Thai's hotel room. He had already been knocking for half an hour, but once it had become clear Alex wouldn't open for him, Lewis had gone out to swipe a hotel card from George.
"Get out." Alex hissed from where he was sitting on the bed, knees tugged up to his chest. Lewis had never seen the normally calm and collected guy so upset and angry. Lewis held his hands up in a peaceful gesture.
"I came to apologise." He said. Alex hesitated, brows still furrowed, but he did not speak again. Lewis thought it was a good sign. He sat down on the edge of the bed, furthest away from Alex.
"I'm sorry. This race should have been yours." Lewis said softly, after a moment of silence. Alex didn't speak, but nodded. His hand was trembling as he brought it up to tiredly wipe at his face.
Lewis's heart broke when he realised Alex was crying silently.
"Alex?" Lewis tried softly, wanting to reach out for him, but he wasn't sure if Alex would allow him to comfort him. Alex shook his head before burying his face in his hands.
"Please just go..." he sobbed, but Lewis found he couldn't. He swallowed thickly, shuffling further onto the bed and pulling Alex into a soft, hesitant embrace. Alex tensed and tried to push him away, crying harder now, but Lewis only held him more tightly.
"It's okay. I'm so incredibly sorry." Lewis muttered against Alex's head. Alex sniffled.
"I need a win, or Marko will..." he trailed off. Lewis sighed, closing his eyes and cursing Red Bull's toxic environment.
"And you will get a win." He promised. Alex shook his head
"Not if you keep pushing me off track." He whispered. Lewis sighed.
"Yeah. I'm so sorry." He whispered again. Alex sighed shakily, but then relaxed into Lewis's hold.
"I know you are." He muttered, squeezing Lewis's wrist a little.
Lewis was more than touch by how forgiving Alex was. Alex was special, Lewis had always known that, but he hadn't imagined him to be so kind.
On a whim, Lewis pressed a kiss to Alex's cheek. The younger man let out a surprised noise at the touch, lifting his head to look him in the eye.
"Make me forget." The Thai muttered breathlessly. Lewis frowned.
"What?" He asked slowly. Alex moved closer, his breath washing over Lewis's face.
"Make me forget." He repeated, brown eyes swirling before he leaned in to press a chaste kiss to Lewis's lips.
Lewis wanted to pull away, he really did, but Alex tasted so good, and his lips were so soft.
Kissing back was the least Lewis could do to make it up to the Thai.
He would think about the consequences tomorrow
