i’ve been putting this off for a while, but i think it’s time to say it properly. i’ve been writing f1 fanfic for years now (since before 2018, some even before which feels unreal), and somehow ended up with around 400 fics on ao3, which is still kind of wild to me.

the past year has been a lot on a personal level, and somewhere along the way i lost the motivation to write. i also don’t really follow f1 that closely anymore, and right now i don’t see myself coming back to writing in the same way. i have since written a few things for a different fandom so who knows, the inspiration might strike again for f1 too but for now it seems unlikely.

i might still pop in occasionally to reblog things or share the odd idea, but as for fic, it’s unlikely, at least for now.

thank you, genuinely, to everyone who read, commented, sent asks, or just quietly enjoyed my work over the years. it meant more than i probably ever said. i'll miss this lovely fandom a lot but dont see a space for myself in it any longer.

oscar would 100% be the hockey player and carlos the figure skater. oscar as the calm, ruthless player who navigates the rink with ease and is always willing to check someone into the boards. him being australian makes him a novelty, and he's always willing to use it to get what he wants.

carlos as the figure skater, more emotional, more dramatic. the son of a spanish skating legend, his routines are fast and technical with big jumps and quick step sequences. fans throw little bull plushies or chili pepper plushies onto the ice whenever he wins

Oh plss him just so cool calm and collected and ruthless, not scared to get in there at all and a good shot too👀

Carlos would have that showman factor for sureeee!! And he just yeets himself into the air like its easy and pls him getting bull and chili plushiessss!! Snr having been a skating legend but maybr in a whole other discipline like speedskating? But still so proud!

Oscar and Carlos meeting at a party and bitching so much to the other about how silly the other's sport is skks. But then they end up going to see the other's competituon👀👀👀

Bossy omega Lando who loved to order around newly presented alpha Oscar during the 2023 season, acting like had some sense of authority over him, just like older omegas had over pups in a pack. And Oscar kind of just let him because technically he was a pup, he may had presented but still had a milky undertone in his scent and didn’t had developed many alpha instincts until now.

So he let himself be dragged into a nest and fussed over after a rough session, endured being constantly scented by his teammate (even if was slightly embarrassing doing it in public sometimes), and accepted that he could not be out of Lando’s sight for long before the omega started chirping around the garage looking for him.

Of course everything changes in 2024.

The teammates didn’t seem each other much over the winter break, so you can imagine Lando’s surprise at seeing Oscar, sweet, soft spoken, round cheeked Oscar, all tall and handsome and big, without the remains of his pup scent clinging onto him.

He still let himself be bossed around and fussed over, but things felt different. Every interaction charged. And then, Lando started noticing. His voice had a new edge to it, his body moved with a quiet type of confidence, how the younger started behaving different - a little more protective, sometimes put himself in front of Lando and let half hide behind his newly broad shoulders.

I need carcar snarling and low key fighting in wolf form, either in alpha forms which is them trying to intimidate each other or maybe both as omegas? Just smaller and fluffier but even feistier the both of them!

I agree!! Max as such a gorgeous grey wolf and this little brown omega wolf keeps wagging his tail like a shy helicopter and him and booping his little nose against Max's and Max only realises after a long while that its Oscar!

Also osc being soooo fast when he has zoomies and he likes mac to chase him!
