Week #20 Journal #22: Did I do that?!?
So. Found out today that I was accidentally doing too much cardio ALL WEEK LONG! Might explain why I was sick and more exhausted and emotional then EVER in my life. I was supposed to switch from doing 45 minutes cardio 7X a week into doing that same amount of cardio but in a FASTED state, my dumb butt thought that I was supposed to add the fasted cardio in ADDITION to what I was already doing. Which seemed really friggin nuts but I’m ready to work so I didn’t ask any questions. So I did fourteen 45 minute cardio sessions just last week when I only had to do 7. Can you say whoops. But because I’ve adapted my body to that amount to work there is no going back. If I had done was I was supposed to do: seven 45 minute fasted cardio my increase this week would have been: add three 39 minute cardio post lifting session. Unfortunately cause I F-Ed up so bad my progression is now 45 minutes fasted every morning 30 minutes every night after lifting instead. Some. One. Slap. Me. PLEASE. I’ve never been so mad at myself. Most people when they mess up on their competition prep is when they have a slip up and eat something they shouldn’t or get lazy and skip a workout. OF COURSE my mess up is doing almost 7 extra hours of exercise last week!! RAWR!!
As a side note I've lost 10 pounds since November when I first decided to do this show! #small victory
