Phil likes to think he's not a coward.. but this had taken a long, long time to psych himself up for. After everything that had happened, and how long he'd been in recovery..
He pushed those thoughts out of his head, waiting somewhat patiently outside the music hall in Portland. He'd taken Stark's offer and even managed to enjoy the private jet (a luxury he didn't want to get used to), and stood when the musicians started leaving, eyes eventually tracking onto Jennifer only to find himself quite unable to say a damn thing.
So he waited, wondering if she'd notice him.
