“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were totally stalking me.” It was funny how life worked, wasn’t it? You could go your whole life without seeing someone who lived in the same city as you for a while, then you see them once adn suddenly they’re everywhere. Sloane figured it might have been some kind of curse, but she also found their run-ins to be considered dumb luck rather than something planned out. This was the guy that showed up in abandoned buildings because he was told to do so without questioning it, after all.
Still, her comment comes in broad daylight, not in some shady alley at night… which was shocking, to say the least. Sloane usually didn’t leave the estate during the day unless she had errands to run and studying to do, but maybe she needed a break after almost dying a few days before. That heat wave was a bitch, and she was sure everyone in the city knew it at that point. “I found Xavier, by the way. I don’t know if you’re still looking for him.”
