We applaud the overwhelming, bipartisan support for 21st Century Cures, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives today by a vote of 392-26. We have long championed improvements to the medical research system that this legislation enables. The 21st Century Cures Act will invest in national research priorities, promote sharing of medical and scientific data, strengthen the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s workforce, enable cross-sector collaboration and advance patient centricity. We urge swift passage of this legislation in the U.S. Senate. Patients are waiting.
