Well I would have done it sooner, but its been a crazy week.
Last Tuesday I finished classes at my school, saw Neil deGrasse Tyson speak on Thursday, moved everything from school home on Saturday, tripped down to Louisville on Monday, and I leave tomorrow for Amsterdam.
I don't have any amazing insights (yet), but I do want to talk about voyage and its inception.
My parents and I discussed the idea of my graduating early considering I had enough credits to do so. I also didn't have the opportunity to study abroad for a full semester, because none of the classes would have been relevant to my requirements. This solution would allow me to go abroad, learn about new cultures, see new places, save money (tuition), and graduate early.
In early January, nearing the end of my college career, my dad booked a flight to Amsterdam, my starting and ending point. In between I have planned to visit ten countries, but I am also going to be making some day to day decisions out there to make sure I'm not missing anything I would otherwise want to see. Through my travels I have learned to plan out some options, and plan to change plans.
That's about all I can muster in the early AM, but I'll update you all in a couple days when I reach Amsterdam!
