Countdown to Comic Con! A look back to 2010, my 4th Sdcc. Been counting down to this year's Sdcc, my 10th, with a daily series of collages. The first con in which I had had an iPhone, a 3gs :) So I still have the photos on my phone, the best ones, ones that make up this collage. Up top we have the at this point seasoned con crew boarding the plane to San Diego. Meeting with a Tusken at badge pickup. Scott Pilgrim was on our hotel, didn't see the screening at the con, but in a private showing back in Georgia. As in no one else in the theater. Pilgrim is so underrated, still in my top 10 films of all time. The big event that year was the NBC party in which we met casts of The Cape and Community. Some great photo ops with Keith David, Danny Pudi, and Chevy Chase. They also had a make your own Patron bar that we took full advantage of, can't even remember how many I had but was completely blitzed. One photo that didn't make the countdown of me passed out in front of our hotel room. I heard a year later that Chevy didn't want to take pics but got that one. Also met future con crew @corellianjedi2 but I don't think we took any group pics at the nbc party, already too gone. Bottom left Sherrie celebrating after the nbc party. Countdown to Comic Con! A look back at 2008, Year 2, in the countdown to this year's Sdcc which will be my 10th. For year 2 the Con Crew expanded, Me, Kevin, Joel, Sherrie's first year, and Dusty's first and only Sdcc(So Far :) From the top the crew out in front of con and at the adult swim party. Ran into CloneWars show runner Dave Filoni. Had a awesome 30 Rock conversation with Scott Adsit at the adult swim party. And then the moment of year 2, and one of the biggest moments in 10 years of Sdcc, David Banner preformed at the adult swim party and came down into the crowd to have people sing along. When "Blow the whistle" came on Kevin straight up grabbed the mic from Banner :) Who then invited him up on the stage and provided a beat for him to drop his own rhyme. I was right up front for the whole performance, amazing moment. To top it off luckily Joel started recording, the video is still up on YouTube, David Banner Adult Swim Party Comic Con 2008. Check it out :) Year 2 started a trend of the con having a moment each year that topped or matched the big moment from the previous year. Starting the countdown to this year's San Diego Comic Con with a look back. This is my 10th year attending. 10th straight. First went in 2007 and it couldn't of changed more in the past 10 years. The first Con Crew was Me, Joel, and Kevin. Kevin has attended before, but it was the first Sdcc for Joel and I. We got 4 day passes with no probably and It was like late May or early June, no prob getting a pass back then. We attended after E3 got changed to invite only, we attended e3 in 05 and 06 and Sdcc made up for no E3. That was the last year I had dumb mini beard :p Top left is the 3 of us in one of those ped taxi rides. Top right with the golden compass bear. And below a couple starwars pics, Troopers and Jabba! Had to go to MySpace, lol, to find pics for the first couple of cons. The biggest panel was Heroes, in which they showed us the season 2 premiere a couple of months before it aired. Back then once the show floor closed they didn't have too much going on, so restaurants like yard house were the big draw.
