“ Here's a treatise that doesn't get as much recognition that it should with aficionados of the cutlass and naval fencing. Juan Nicolas Perinat wrote it in 1758 for the Naval school of Cadiz. It introduces the french school for both officers armed with smallswords and sailors armed with cutlasses and represents probably the first complete rendition of both a cutlass treatise and the French method of espadon, as well as the first mention of contrepointe. You can find here a great translation by Tim Riviera. https://www.spanishsword.org/translations Link to the original, containing the plates: http://bdh-rd.bne.es/viewer.vm?pid=d-1628268 “

A question frequently asked is “Are you the way you are because you were born that way, or because of the way you were raised?” Basically, the…

Screen Time- is it an addiction?
Image by studio4rt on Freepik What is your average screen time? A study reveals that about 30% of adults say that they are online ‘almost constantly’. I did not take that survey but I do belong in that group. I asked my 25-year old and he said it is about eight and a half hours. Continue reading Screen Time- is it an addiction?
