I just finished Netflix’s Hollywood and I have got some shit to say.

Looking a lot of reviews and seeing the same criticism. “It’s an unrealistic rewritting of history” and yeah it is so what... its intention is to be comforting. It’s like fanfiction, a rewriting of a what if senario with everyone living happily ever after. 

It’s tough to watch “mainstream hollywood media” give POC’s and LGBT+ characters the dramatic and mostly sad narratives. Fuck that! I want cotton candy, I want fairy tale like Hollywood endings. I want stories where these characters are happy. That’s all this mini series is: a comfort fic.

I loved it, and at the end of the day isn’t it enough to see POC’s and LGBT+ characters winning.
